Matt Turner

Matt is a “regular guy” that has been shooting all of his life but got serious about seeking the best training about a decade ago, with the first step being to check his ego.

He started teaching in 2017 and has pursued Rangemaster instructor qualification, as well as having trained with other industry notables. His love of training has grown into a mission to put as many morally good people on the streets with skills to recognize, identify, avoid, and/or self-rescue themselves and their loved ones.

The JDC Team invited me to apprentice and I got involved. I still am seeking improvement. I have trained with several nationally recognized instructors including the JDC cadre, Tom Givens, Mas Ayoob, John Hearne, Aquil Qadir, Chuck Haggard, and 360 Performance Shooting.

I enjoy giving back and helping others reach their training goals. I want others to be prepared to prevail against a violent criminal attack. To that end I successfully graduated the Rangemaster Instructor course with Tom Givens in 2024.
