A unique team member

I began shooting afield at a very young age with my grandfather. This really motivated me to know and learn more. Unfortunately, by the time I became an adult there was little opportunity for professional instruction near me.

Mostly self-taught, I asked anyone who I thought knew more than I did to teach me. I asked cop and veteran friends and relatives. Development was not as significant as I hoped.

A love of research/reading and the ability to follow instructions from the great writers in the gun rags of the time, there was some development. The Global War on Terror created a change, instruction became much more widespread and accessible.

Not all of this instruction was terribly beneficial.

Finding JDC, I became more focused on being processed based and fundamentally sound. My knowledge, skills and abilities grew.

The JDC Team invited me to apprentice and I got involved. I still am seeking improvement. I have trained with several nationally recognized instructors including the JDC cadre, Tom Givens, Mas Ayoob, John Hearne, Aquil Qadir, Chuck Haggard, and 360 Performance Shooting.

I enjoy giving back and helping others reach their training goals. I want others to be prepared to prevail against a violent criminal attack. To that end I successfully graduated the Rangemaster Instructor course with Tom Givens in 2024.
